10, but you don't lose any of that digesting it.
You might lose 2 calories eating 10 calories of a different kind of food.
got it?

You might want to take into consideration that not all fat is bad. HDL or High Density Lipoprotein is better for your body than LDL, Low Density Lipoprotein. Meats such as fish contain higher HDL while fat found in cows and such contain more LDL.

there are 9 calories per 1 gram of fat and 6 calories per gram of carbs and protein

if you want to lose weight, you need to do a mixture of aerobic exercise and weight lifting. when you lift weights, you build lean muscle mass which increases your metabolism. the aerobic exercise will expediate fat loss. as for diet drugs like metabolife/xenadrine/etc-they all contain ma huang or ephedra, which is basically herbal speed. when such drugs are combined with caffeine, the effects can sometimes cause heart attack or stroke. though i've taken diet pills in the past, i don't do that anymore because they made my heart feel like it was going to burst out of my chest and i was always sweating. also, when dieting, be sure you eat at least 1200 calories a day to keep your body from going into 'starvation mode.' if it does this, your body will digest your lean muscle and start storing fat, so when you stop dieting, you'll gain weight back plus have more fat than before.

Also your going to have to eat more than 1200kcal/day if you intend to work out as well. Unless of course you are quite small to begin with, but then you shouldn't be needing to loose weight?!?!

Yes Food calories are really kilo calories.
A Calorie (not food) is thd amount of energy needed to increase one litre of water one degree centigrade. So yes that means that one gram of fat contains enough energy to increase one litre of water 9000 degrees.

That Capri-Sun doesn't feel too good now :p

Anyway, heres me schedule rite now:

Mon- no exercise
Tues- Chest (bench and machines)
wed- no exercise
thurs- biceps
fri- triceps
sat- legs/lower body
sun- back and shoulders

I used to run/walk 30 minutes or did the stairmaster for 15 minutes followed by ~250 crunches on an ab bench
I became lazy and stopped running or doing the stairmaster, partly because i saw no weight loss after a couple of month. Ive also cut pop from my diet for like 3 months. I used to have 2-3 cans of pop per day but my total is now like 3-4 cans a week. still I weigh 165. I wanna get down to 150 or so. My height is 5'11

EDIT: Ive been working out for 4+ months now

Pizza Hut buffet: 1500 calories with pop :)
Night of drinking (say 9 beer) and pizza: 2000-2500 calories :Q

Its really amazing how quickly calories can add up if you don't look out for it. I can easily go out for lunch on a friday and pull in 800-900 calories on a fast food meal. Then with breakfast of 350 calories we're at 1100 calories. Dinner could be the pizza and night of beer, plus maybe some snacks that night and an afternoon snack and I'm up to 4000 calories and didn't even really try!
