I'm about 165-170 lbs, 5'10"-11", medium frame. Just wondering what are the base number of calories I burn a day? In that I mean don't count in eating or exercising, just maybe walking a mile or two a day?

Since I eat about 3500 a day and never gain weight, I assume that is the amount I'm burning.

Everyone's metabolism and body chemistry is different.... some people could be burning as little as 2000 and others could be burning over 3000 per day.

It also changes as you age. A lot of folks who can eat "whatever they want" and not gain weight put on 40 lbs when they hit their late 20's to mid 30's.

Regular excersize can help you burn more calories even when you are not doing anything.

I'm 6' and about 180 lbs and probably burn about 2500-3000 cals per day.
