How many buttons does your gaming mouse have?

Posted about possible getting a controller instead of using keyboard/mouse for FPS. But after reading all the comments i recieved im thinking about just getting a gaming mouse that may make it easier. I use a 2 button mouse with scroll.... so my question is what does everyone else use and if you have more buttons do you find it better to play games?

My MX510 has 5 buttons in addition to the regular 2 & scroll/middle. The only extra button I use in FPS is one of the thumb buttons. I don't find that I can easily reach the rest so I ignore them for gaming.

I have the 700, which I'm assuming is similar to the 510. It's not marketed as a gaming mouse, and has many uses in common applications. The two thumb buttons are great (for web browsing, forward and back, or FPS zoom in/out), and depending on the shooter I'll configure the other buttons around the scroll wheel.

Depends on what you count as a button. MX1000 has 7 buttons IIRC, but 2 of them are very hard to click on the go so I usually consider it only 5.

MX510 with 7 buttons, not including scroll. I only use the left and right, plus the scroll most of the time.

I use 510 as well, I also don't use the scroll wheel or the buttons near the scroll wheel. My thumb buttons are used though, one is my PTT for voice-comm programs and the other depends on the game.

Crono you mean "Including" the scroll.

I have 7 with an MX518 and I use them all.

I use the MX518 as well. It feels quite ergonomic. My bro got a copperhead, but that's more expensive, and its shape is very uncomfortable to hold.

The MX518 has the left, right, and scroll buttons along with two thumb buttons. I've found the thumbies quite useful in HL2 and Doom 3. The other three buttons above and below the scroll button are kind of inconvenient to reach. Five buttons are sufficient for me anyway. :)

forward/backwards are great for surfing, once you've gotten used to it you'll never go back.

Mouse gestures eliminate the need for buttons, but nevermind.

MX518, got it yesterday.
Adjustable sensitivity is nice, especially in games when you need to make sniper shots and can set it a little lower for more accuracy, then bump it right back up to move around.

I have a Logitech Dual optical (2 buttons, 1 scroll, 1 thumbutton)

and it's for me way better than any other mouse I tried. multiple thumb buttons get confusing. a button on the other end could be usefull tho. those app buttons abouve the scrollwheel to the centre of the mouse are out of my reach so essentially useless.
