<< I tend to skip several generations of architectures at a time.
I went from a 486 to a BX system, and guess what - I'm still on BX (with CPU upgrades, now at a Celeron 880, and several new vid cards). Strangely, enough, my Celeron 880 gives me MUCH more productivity than my P4 1.6 GHz at work. At home on my Celeron I've got Windows XP and lots of excellent peripherals. On my P4 at work I've got Windows NT 4. 🙁
I'll probably get a DVD burner before I get a new motherboard/CPU combo.
I'm guessing by the time 3+ GHz chips come out it will be time for me to upgrade.
Long live BX! >>
Hehe. Its what I like to do too.
Went from a 166 to the current rig, a 750 Duron with a Radeon64.
By the time I get my next rig (which should be 1-2 years from now), hammers should be in full swing.
I'd very much like a 4000+ clawhammer, 1GB DDR400 and a Radeon3 😀
