I don't but, where's the poll wongsoongpak?

I wish I had the knowledge to own my own business, or at least a few people who I could work w/ to make one :(

I'm lined up to. Work with my parents' insurance agency. Once I get all my licenses I should be able to take partnership.

Hey, my family is in insurance too. They focus on training insurance agents in marketing. Check out their website
Insurance Marketing Tips. (Beware of the agressive popups btw.)

I do. I have several online commercial sites and do a little bit of web development also. This is the sole income for our family and amounts to about 75k annually. The best thing about it is I work from home and only about 5 hours a day.

I have been self-employed for over 20 years. I don't think I can work for anyone else anymore for the rest of my life. I like going to work early or late and leaving early or late when I feel like it. I work in the wholesale business and I can work any hour of the day as long as my customer's are happy and they get their work in time. But most importantly, I RARELY have to drag my butt out of bed to go to work. I just enjoy doing my job and look forward to going to work for at least another 15 years. I suspect that if I won the lottery, I would probably still be doing the same thing because almost all of my customer's are my friends. I would just work a little less and take long vacations...

Im in west texas, there is a Center for Energy and Economic Diversification. It is association with the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. UTPB CEED I would look for a program like this in your area. They have grants etc for people wanting to start their own business etc. The state pays you to do it in some cases. Hope this helps.

I just started my own business, sorta along the lines of what you want to do. I am going to see what grants I can get to help me.

My fiance owns his own business (financial planner) and I will be owning my own business soon, we are converting the downstairs into a little salon. (Hair Stylist)

As far as I'm concerned, it's the only way to go! We have so much more freedom then we would working for anyone else, and there is no end to things we can write off having home based business'!:)

Most importantly, I can stay at home with our son so no need for daycare, which is wonderful!:)
