How many amps is your X1900XT 256MB drawing?

Hey,

I just got an HIS X1900XT 256MB (not the IceQ, just stock) a few weeks ago. It's working great and drawing around 27.5 amps when in heavy use. Can anyone else share their max current draw? I just checked it using ATITool.

Reason is, HIS says that the card needs 30A and my PSU is only rated at 28A. Like I said it has worked fine for weeks, but I'm not sure if it could draw more but is holding back. I don't even know if GPUs are smart enough to do that, LOL.

ATItool's amperage meter is know for being a LITTLE off lol. your card is likely not drawing anywhere near that much considering considering my PSU can push dual x1900xt's and it only provides 20amps on each of the dual 12v rails. Also to help you out some it says my x1900xt 512mb pulls 27.5 amps as well. I wouldnt worry about it, if it needed more power it would either tell you, or shut itself off, u arnt losing any performance.

Mine says 27.5 almost constantly, sometimes dropping down to 8.6. I don't think ATITool's amp meter does anything.

Yeah, mine x1900xt supposedly even goes above 30A when OC'd, but that's never caused a problem even though my PSU has a single 30A 12v rail.
