How many ads are too many ads?

Anyone else think that the sheer quantity of ads to content (2 short paragraphs) on this page is kind of amazing, especially since they're many are animated?: http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.html?i=1808

1 750x150 ad
2 normal banner ads
1 google ad
4 sponsored link ads
4 square/rectangular side ads
1 BizRate search ad

Its getting...how do you say...a bit cluttered in here...I feel bad for anyone who can't run at higher resolutions (i'm on 1152x864)...of course the problem I guess with higher resolutions is that you can see them all at one time... many moving and flashing...flashing and moving...

Ever see that commercial for I think it was Earthlink with all the popups? I would say that is too many ads lol.

I'm not seeing any animated ads 😉
Turn off Animations in "Internet Options" | "Advanced", and use my program in the signature.

3 measures I have taken that block almost all ads:

1. A DNS proxy server that runs on my router box. It not only caches resolutions, but it also references /etc/hosts.conf, allowing me to block most ad servers by resolving them to 192.168.0.1
2. Configuring Mozilla to not display iframes, a common method for embedding ads in pages
3. The Bannerblind add-in, which removes images of specified dimensions from pages

What I can't see doesn't bother me. 😉
