My friend is building a rig (e6750, gigabyte P35, 2 gigs of RAM, 8800GTS 512, 2 HDD, 2 optical dr, X-Fi card)and needs a PSU with lots of 4 pin molex connectors to power 5 case fans, 2 cold cathode kits, 1 TT Duorb cooler and i think 1 other device. He settled upon a an Ultra X3 800W PSU and we are trying to figure out how many 4 pin molex connectors are there, he basically needs 9. According to a hardocp review of the 1000W X3, which has the same number of connectors as the 800W there are 10:

However, looking at the Ultra site i'm seeing support for 7 devices:

http://www.ultraproducts.com/p...Path=632&productID=638

If it indeed supports 7 devices, then he'll have to use a splitter to connect the other 2 devices. Anyway, does anyone know which source is correct? Anyone here ownes one?

Follow the link to Ultra products you provided and look at the table just above the picture of all the cables (the following is pasted in from there):

1 4 Pin Power Cable (2 Devices)
2 4 Pin Power Cable (2 Devices + 2 Floppy)
1 4 Pin Power Cable (3 Devices)
1 4 Pin Power Cable (1 Device)

That adds up to 10 to me.

Also keep in mind that his fans and his CCFL's inverter will likely all have pass through power connectors.
