How low can you go?

Instructions here.

I have NOT burned a DVD to try in a deck, just opened the files in Power DVD. I'm underwhelmed as there seems to be some strange distortion yet if I play the fundamentals at these frequencies at 0dB level (full signal) I hear them perfectly fine. Perhaps Power DVD is skewing the extreme low frequencies? This would explain some of the strange artifacts I've been hearing with some movies.

You have to have *something* that can reproduce sinus tones in the single digit range to be effective! Any equipment that rolls off its frequency response below 20Hz will be severely limited.

I would place emphasis on the warning screen. PAY ATTENTION to it! Your voice coils will thank you.

This is an attempt to get me to break my sub, right? 😛

In this room I've ended up taking my port plugs out of my sub and goign from the 12hz tune to the 20hz tune, so I'm no help to you 🙂
I'm also an acutal DVD player user. I use VLC when I need to browse through a disc. Have you tried it with that?

So bump I suppose heh.
