I'm still debating.
I'm slowly piecing together an AM2 setup but don't know about the ram. At the rate i'm going it'll be summer or perhaps fall before i'm done & who knows what ram prices will be by then?
Same way with the video card...i'm looking at a 7600GT, but their prices seem more stable than ram.
Ahh...technology!

If anyone is interested in Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000).
It can now be had for $85 after $100 MIR and $30 promo code here Newegg

See Fallengods everchanging thread. LOL.

Looks like the memory is sold out...at both Buy.com & Newegg...for how long, I don't know.
One of these days i'll learn to quit procrastinating...hehehe.

Where do you live...in CA? I live in Louisiana and it's coming from CA...so it will probably take forever.

Just got my sticks today. Look good. Just filled out and got my rebate stuff ready too.

Was kind of surprised with buy.coms packaging. They just stuck box of crucial modules in a manila bubble wrap envelope and shipped it to me. I suppose that works be geez.

UPS shipped it? Did you select that cause it should be USPS, not UPS. Mine was done witht he free shipping method and was USPS.

Mine came by UPS and I selected free shipping. Most UPS tracking# begin with Z xtremeskier97.
You could try iship they can track all the big carriers.

It's working now...seems to be some thing where UPS takes it to a point and then hands it over to USPS and they deliver it. Called UPS Mail Innovations or something like that. /shrugs Atleast there is a possibility of saturday delivery with it being handed over to USPS :)

Amen to what Syuyd said. I jumped on the original offer of 6400/800 Ballistix and it took almost two weeks. It was free but next time I think I'll pay the extra couple of bucks and not have to sit on my hands.

I ordered a CD from Best Buy that came UPS Mail Innovation, it took 17 days from GA to VA.
Thats worse than gogamers dirt cheap shipping. It usually takes 7-10 days from CA, actually thats not bad for something named DIRT CHEAP.

I don't know if Buy.com will get anymore of this ram in before the rebate ends or not.
Since the Corsair varies with different revisions as to whether it uses Micron chips or not, i'm going to be torn between the Wintec & the G.Skill from Newegg. It's been stated that Wintec uses Micron & a rep from G.Skill told me certain models of their ram uses Micron as well.

I think the box UPC because if you look at the sample UPC it contains the word "UPC" which the box UPC has.

Yeah, it looks like the UPC on the retail box (from the Crucial label) is the one to use.

Damn, you guys got yours? I ordered the memory and a video card and they shipped the memory, Mail Innovations, and the video card, UPS. The video card is supposed to be here tommarow but i have no idea when the RAM will be here.
