well as far as 4gb and 32bit OS is concerned, u'll only see 3.5gb of usable memory due to the OS Limitation. The only way around that is by using 64 bit edition of XP/Vista. another thing to consider is losing the 1T command timing when using all 4 banks of the mb but most folks wont notice the performance difference and boards dont set 1T CMD by default anyways.
Edit: You wont lose the Dual channel mode either since u'll still be using paired slots.

Does anyone know how crucial customer service is? Is RMAing fairly easy. Never had to deal with them.

I bought this same ram last fall from ZipZoomFly(I think) for $220 after rebate. Newegg was selling the same thing for $400+ I'm guessing Newegg doesn't have the same relationship with Crucial that other dealers have, and can't offer as steep a discount.
