how loud is the stock 9700 non pro fan?

im looking to buy this card, but im setting up a quiet system, (antec 1080 with temp controlled fans + some vantec stealths) and i would like to keep this quiet also. is there any good way to passively cool this? (soemthing thats fairly easy to install for a noob )

I dont think it is loud at all, I can hear other things in my comp over the gpu fan. As for apssive cooling Zalman makes a heatpipe cooler for it that doesnt have a fan at all, but to me its not needed since I run mine at 378-688 with stock cooling and just AS3 on it.

I have 2 intake 2 exhaust both 80mm and a Vantec Aeroflow with a zalman fan mate speed contoller on it.

I have Panaflos in my case and a 9500NP/Softmod9700 (Same fan) Can't hear it over the panaflos. It's a low whooshing sound too, not a high pitched whine like some other companies use.
