How loud is the fan on the XP90 retail package ?

How loud is that fan that comes with the XP90 retail package. It says 35dba and that seems loud. Is it really that loud ?

its all subjective. i mean, what other fans do you have in your case? how tolerant are you of noise?

i'd say a silent freak would find it objectionable but it didn't bother me. but again, i have 4 80mm case fans along with a chipset, psu and vga fans.

There is no stock fan, they recommend a Panaflo M1BX but I'm fairly sure it's not included. As far as noise, if you are not too picky it probably won't bother you, although somebody aiming for silence /very low noise (myself included) would probably want to turn it down or go for a L1A.

I wouldn't bother. Just get the one without a fan and buy a separate Panaflo.

This is the Retail Sink. The fans specs are very close to the medium speed Panaflo's specs.

personally I have never seen a quiet fan included with a heatsink unless it was from a compant that advertises quiet solutions such as zalman!!
