how long do you guys think the x1900xtx can run games on max/close to max setting while still with a decent frame rate(40+) at 1280x1024 and 1680x1050?
my guess is around another year.

1280 and 1680 are very different resolutions...
I'd say maybe a year or slightly less than that for 1680, and possibly as much as 2 or 3 years for 1280.
