How long will this RAM last me?

OK, so as I am sure many around here have seen, Newegg currently has a pretty good deal going for some Mushkin pc3200 RAM. I need some new RAM anyways, but here is my problem--I plan on building a whole new system in about 4-6 months when the new generation of mobos and such come out, and this RAM also needs to be the RAM for that system. Will this RAM still be good to go? Are there plans to switch to a different kind of RAM? Will it still be reasonably fast? I just want to make sure that Im not going to have to drop another $200 for RAM in a few more months.
