I barely PC game anymore because of my 360 and I do MS Office / Web Browsing mainly. When can I say this laptop will no longer serve me in the PC gaming world?

1 to 5 years depending on the games you play and what settings you like to play them at.

It really depends on what your idea of gaming is. For me, it's Command and Conquer Red Alert 2 (about five years old), which runs perfectly on my 1280x800 screen on GMA 950. It also really depends on if you're ok at running less than the native screen res, and how much IQ you like. But anyway, the 7600 isn't too bad of a GPU, I think you'd get at least three years out of it if you really don't game much at all.

The go 7600 is a nice midrange card, and your screen resolution isn't too big for a 17'' laptop. You'll be fine for a few years at least.

Yeah, I like this laptop but I knew before hand that this laptop would not be the greatest in gaming due to the fact that all laptop gpu's are only a crippled down version of their desktop counterparts. Also the amount of money to buy a better CPU / video card was way too much... I only paid like $500.00 out of pocket money (which included a rip off $179.99 CompUSA 2 one gig sticks of memory and a $30 dollar installation totaling 210 dollars!) paired up with a $250 eRebate, $50 mail-in rebate and lastly a $628 dollar income tax return. The laptop totaled at $1199.99 without any rebates or anything. I could not find a better deal for $900 dollars that offered everything this laptop offered.

$1199.99 - Retail Price
$ 250.00 - eRebate from CompUSA (Minus)
$ 50.00 - Mail in Rebate from CompUSA (Minus)
$ 628.00 - Tax Return Money (Minus)
$ 179.99 - New RAM (Plus)
$ 30.00 - RAM Installation (Plus)
$ 481.98 - Total Out of Pocket Money

I say I did not do so badly... but I could be mistaken :(
