I 'm overclocked my 1 GHz TB to 1.4GHz @ 1.8v. I know it will shorten the life of my TB. But how many years does it shorten it? I 'm using FOP38.. Btw, how long does a
non- overclocked cpu last? a overclocked cpu (like mine) cpu last? Will my system now survive for 3 - 4 years?

Given all the characteristics of your primary system board in conjunction with your peripherals and RAM componenture, my best estimate is 15 more minutes.

Seriously though, in this CPU market who cares? If my AMD 900 were to die tonight do you think I'd be bummed? Hell no, it would be upgrading time! This is the perfect time to build your boxes like there is no tomorrow because the reality is...there is no tomorrow for these little chunks of silicon.

Jop, it will survive you...

Anyway..if in onehalf year the people with their 2,5GHz Processors start laughing at you, you will consider an upgrade and sell it over E-bay to an antiquities store for 5 bucks...:p

So no need for running 3-4 years...
