How long will my card last?

I have a eVGA 7600GT, which I have overclocked to 651/1548. I realize this is a huge OC, but the card seems stable up to around 680/1560 for me, and when I back it down to my current settings the card never goes above 78C, even in 3dmark06.

Is this acceptable? I have heard GFX cards can die within a year if they are OC'ed too much, but I hear those temps are acceptable so I think I may be ok.

did you volt mod it? regardless of temps, raising the voltage and speed in a chip accelrates certain process that will kill your GPU. 78C isn't too hot, but i'd definently get better cooling. 78C is toasty enough to cause possible damage in the long run.

I didn't volt mod it, I just used RivaTuner to adjust the settings in Windows.

And by "long run" how long would it last you think? I'd only want like 3-4 years, and the card idles at around 52C.

I have OC'ed my 6800 GT to 405/1080 for close to 2 years now (15% & 8% OC). 60C idle. High 80Cs to even low 90Cs under full load. It just keeps trucking along. Your temp is cool by comparison. :)

i doubt its a big deal at all.

there are evga cards that are pre overclocked to 600/1600 as it is. thats even higher memory than yours.
