I'm asking because I drive about 26k miles a year all highway. I financed this car over 5 years at 2.9% financing. I can afford to make extra payments and probably pay the car off in 3 years. The financing is pretty cheap though so I don't know if paying it off early really makes sense anyway.

I want to have the car paid off before I run into any major issues or repairs. I know it's hard to predict but when would I start to see hefty repair bills. Best estimate :)

FYI, the only reason I put the color in the title is because that particular color makes it look badass IMO :)
Thanks,

Triforce

How long is a piece of string?

If you maintain it well and are doing all highway miles it should last well past 200k...

Hard to say but you really shouldn't expect substantial repairs until at least the 100k mark, I'd say that on any vehicle of decent quality these days (e.g. yes on a Toyota no on a VW).

the red means it will last even longer...

seriously why did you post the color ? that makes no difference to how long your car will last

either way, this car will last a long time

200k-250k is typical for Accords with regular maintenance, especially if it's mostly highway miles.

I sold off both my previous Accords with 200k+ on the clock, and they still were running well with no major issues.

It'll last a long time. I'm glad that we know the color but we don't know which engine it has... (Does EX-L indicate an engine?)

EX-L is trim level.

EX-L = 4 cylinder
EX-L V6 = obviously 6 cylinder

It should stay bulletproof longer than it will take you to pay it off, even if you take all five years and drive as much as you do the entire time.

it will probably be crashed or wrecked before it mechanically dies
