I've been told by various sources that at the end of this month/start of next the prices of the various 4800 series graphics cards will be falling by a substantial amount (in the case of the one I am interested, the 4890 will be reduced by about $50). Now, I live in the UK and so am interested as to how long this price cut is likely to take to hit the UK etailers I use, does anyone have a rough estimate? Will it be immediate? Take several weeks? A few days?

Edit: http://vr-zone.com/articles/amd-plans-price-cut-for-hd-4800-series-in-q3/7173.html?doc=7173
just to give an example of the price cuts I am referring too..

xfx (decent make) with a slight OC and a free game for £140.... that would have been £200ish at release.

I may be wrong but in UK price cuts always seem to be more gradual, not over-night like seems to happen in US e-tailers. Prices will continue to steadily fall over time, but atm that is very nice power for your pound xD
