How long until a thread is deleted

i was wondering because i was searching for one of my old threads (about 4-6 months old) about a pc prob i had and am having again.

so how long are threads archived until they disappear?

it shouldn't disappear, i dont think. look for it on google with site:forums.anandtech.com

Archived threads will never dissapear. However, the search hasn't been having a good year, that's why you can't find it.

in your search... make sure you are looking for threads that are more than 90 days old, if it is that old.

I see lots of threads you created during that time frame. What problem was it? Hibernation? Steam? Something else altogether?

Remember if you are using the advanced search that the "Search What" category is mislabeled.

If you search "Title or body" it means body AND NOT title. It will only appear if it is in the body and it is NOT in the title.

If you search "Title and summary" it means title OR summary. It will appear if it is either in the title or in the summary.

So if you are searching for something in the title, you must select "title and summary".

yeah that hibernation thing

i reformatted and have the same problem 😱

i can't seem to find it throught the search though
