How long until 7900 VIVO

It's about time for me to get another video card for a new computer build, and I notice the Nvidia 7900 cards are just coming out. Gaming performance is not directly important to me, but I do write and use GPGPU programs so it is a relatively good indicator of potential performance. I notice about 80% of the 7800 GT(X) cards have VIVO, but in the new 7900 GT(X) cards, only one MSI card seems to have it. I like the better power efficiency (though about anything would be easier to keep cool than my 6600GT) and the dual-link DVI of the 7900 over the 7800, so I would be willing to sit on my old PCI graphics card for a few weeks if it were likely there would be some good choices for VIVO 7900 coming soon. Yes, I know there are ATI cards that fit these criteria, but because of the aforementioned GPGPU programming, I am not enthusiastic about switching toolkits.

Has anyone noticed that VIVO cards show up ? weeks/months after introduction, or is there some reason there is unlikely to be many 7900GT VIVOs?

Thanks

Update if anyone is interested.

A number of e-tailers list various 7900 cards as having VIVO, but in contacting the manufacturers the advertised cards actually don't. The only Manufacturer(?)-claimed VIVO I have found so far is the Club-3D 7900GTX and that is coming out in Europe. Looking at online pictures of the reference-design 7900GT (with its smaller heatsink, so you can see more board), it looks like there is an empty set of pads about the right size for a video encoder, so I am still hoping it is a simple option that will show up soon.

i thought vivo was pretty much standard on the 7800 line (or am i just insane). I'm suprised that nvidia didn't put vivo on the 7900 cards though, is there a reason other than the cost saving thing that nvidia would leave vivo out of the 7900 cards?
