I'm going from the Met Museum through Central Park to a restaurant on the other side. Granted, I'm obviously going to make stops along the way in the park, but I'm looking for a basic idea of how long it'd take me if I were to just walk from the east end of the park (around 86th st.) to the west end.
How long to walk through Central Park?

depends... assuming you walk at a decent speed and don't get lost, I'd estimate about 15-20 minutes.
Yeah I know it's a very open question. It looks like it spans about three avenues, which would take about 15-20 min. to walk, but I didn't want to think it was that quick, only to find out it's taking me an hour or more to walk through, esp. if we're starving.

It's not like you can just go straight through. There are various paths leading to entrances / exits. I'd give it at least 30 minutes. At least it's not 100F outside like when we had to do it. I hate The Met.

Don't go there at night while walking your dog and trip over the dog's leash after you get mugged and try to chase down the robbers..
