how long to wait on a deal?

Just wondering if you guys buy something from someone on the forum, how long would you wait before suspecting something?. I paid for a drive last Sunday the 25th and have had limited communication since then. We agreed that he would send priority mail on Monday morning. He never provided me with any sort of tracking info, but on Tuesday he told me he sent the drive out, but he left the tracking # at work. He said he would provide me with the tracking # the following day. Well I have had no contact with him since then. I emailed him last night to ask for the tracking # and the method he used to ship. I know that Monday was a holiday, but priority mail is 2-3 day service. It should have come Wednedsday or Friday at the latest. I emailed him and got no response. I also pm'd him on the forum earlier today and haven't recieved a response yet. So I am getting worried. How long would you wait before contacting troll hunters?

It has been a week and no d.c. or communication and that is your responce ????
Baeless...I think not...

Not good selling tatics IMO,contact trollhunters and see what they can find out,problems do arise but if he said he sent a week ago priority something is not right...
 
Send him a warning that by the end of the day tomorrow, you need a package on your doorstep, a tracking number or your payment refunded.

If you don't have any of those by 6 O'Clock, then contact Troll Hunters. One sure sign of a deal gone bad is exactly what has happened to you, but it would be better to turn this deal around and give him a warning first before you make things even harder on yourself. One day won't be a set back.

Yeah, I got burned last year. It was only for $40 bucks, but it still hurts. Hopefully you will fare better than I did.
 
Contact George Tenet and tell him you got trolled. Also mention you got some WMD's for sale reeeeeal cheap, they'll be there to give you a hand in no time.
 
Priority mail is not guaranteed 2-3 days, it's on average 2-3 days. It can take much longer. I've had things take a month going priority mail.
 
Nah, priority is usually 2 days. In fact, I have never received a package in less than 2 days using priority mail. I suggest you follow Ness' recommendation and see what happens.

I have way more heat than him, but it was just a quick deal, so I didnt want to be an ass about the payment. Also, priority mail usually makes it to here in 3 days from anywhere in the nation. I called the post office yesterday, and they had no package for me :\ Also, this trade was not on AT forums, even though I deal mostly on this one. This forum is a great place to sell/buy/trade.

But communication with people who are paying you money should be 1 to 2 days MAX.
 
priority isnt guaranteed 2-3 days. just because it has always been that way, doesnt mean it will be every time. ive had priority take 9 business days before. remember, postal workers arent the smartest. most of the time they do a great job, but sometimes they secrew up just like everyone else.

that being said, there is no excuse for lack of communication. thats why you always get their address and phone#. things happen, like connections getting screwed up, wrong address, wrong postage, etc. but it should ALWAYS be communicated to the buyer. you couldve called them at home and said wtf is up if you guys swapped the pertinent info.

id wait until next monday. that would be two full weeks. pending any communciation he may send you, if you dont have your stuff or a refund, its time to take action.

and for all of the online traders sake, LEAVE APPROPRIATE FEEDBACK!!! otherwise, heatware, etc. is useless.
 
I decided that I am going to wait until Friday morning, then email him and let him know that he has until Monday to form some sort of response otherwise its troll hunting time
