How long to wait before joining Team Anandtech?

I saw Anand's call for more RC5 members and decided to add my TBird 900 and my wife's Celeron 366 which are both on 24/7. I may also add a P120 laptop. I followed the directions and have waited over the 24 hours specified before attempting to join Team Anandtech. However, I keep getting the following:

There was an error processing your request. We can"t find the email address that you entered, "clambert@chartermi.net".

It's been about a day and a half since I started running RC5. Is there an actual problem, or do I simply have to wait longer?

Creig,

First, a very warm welcome to Team Anandtech 🙂

Second, D.net is sometimes slow at updates and it may take just a little longer to get your ID. I'll take a look, and if it's there, I'll request it for you.

Again...Welcome 😀

Update: Just check OGR and RC5 and didn't find you in OGR and RC5 seems to be updating right now, so there should definitely be something tomorrow.

You can also flush to the team pproxy by setting your keyserver to proxy.teamanandtech.com and you can view your stats (updated every 30 minutes for your viewing pleasure) at Team Anandtech round robin stats 🙂

Have you actually flushed some results to Dnet? Your stats won't show up until the next day after your first flush, and only then you will be able to get your password and join the Team...

Aaaaahhh.... I tried flushing to see if that would do anything, but didn't see any change. I'll keep an eye on it over the next day or so.

Doesn't this thing automatically flush every now and then? Like a toilet with a mind of its own.

Oh, and I just set both comps to proxy.teamanandtech.com

LOL!! 🙂 Yes, it will (but sometimes not the way that you want). It might do all its RC5 work and then use up its OGR work before sending *either* set of results to the keyservers. You can restrict which project it works on. You can also configure how it will fetch and flush.

Welcome to the Team! Your stats will start to show on the Team AnandTech Weekstats pages at the next update following your first flush to proxy.teamanandtech.com, which is every half-hour on the :00's. There are also Fullstats pages, which are updated at 15-minute offsets from the weekstats. Enjoy. 🙂

What are the recommended Load Work Precedence settings for RC5 members? Currently, it is set at the default DES, CSC, OGR, RC5. Should I set it to RC5, OGR=0, DES=0, CSC=0 and have it cracking away full-time on RC5?

Welcome to the team Creig!!!! Yep. Unless you want to do OGR. But most of us do RC5. It's up to you what you want to do tho.....

Just wanted to say a big "Thanks!" to everyone who helped me get RC5 up and running. My TBird 900 and wife's celery 366 are putting out around 1100 blocks a day for TA. The P120 laptop should be added soon. May also be getting a P120 desktop into the fray. All will be 24/7.

I won't stop there and will try to get as many computers in on this as possible. It's addicting, isn't it? 🙂

is there a keyserver port for the proxy.ananadtech.com or do I just use the hostname? What does changing the proxy to anandtech do compared to automatically selecting one by itself?

Thanks

Wow, I did a quick search through the RC5 stats page and they still have me on file from about 2-3 years back.... amazing, so I stoped cracking under the new (as of today) rc5 email and moved back onto my old one, then registered it accross to the team 🙂 Excellent didnt think I'd still be on file, shoulda checked really though.

TheApe, you can add ("retire&quot😉 the blocks you've cracked for an account into another one. Go to the stats page for the account you want to retire, then click on "Edit your Information" to get to your profile (you need your dnet password for that). At the bottom there is a link to retire the blocks. I think it asks for the dnet ID (6 digits) of the account you want to retire them to. So you have only 1 account with all the work you've done.

/edit : were is the spelcheker ?

/reedit : After next stats update, see i f you have submitted work with the (temporarily) new email, and if so, make sure to either retire them into your (previously but no more) old account in ordre to have the blocks credited to the TeAm. It would be silly to let 2 days worth of CPU vanish in no-team-air.
