How long to wait before asking for payment? ** All is good now!

Just wondering what the etiquette is on waiting for payment from another trader here. Granted if its a component it may take a day or two for testing principles. How about going on 5 days?

i say 3 days is long enough to give for testing. any longer than that, and they shouldnt be wasting anyone elses time.

unless, of course, circumstances were discussed before hand and other arrangements made.

The buyer has had the items since noon last Friday. I don't want to be impatient but I also took the the responsablity to ship first seeing that I had less heat. I too would assume maybe 2 days for testing.

I sent him a pm yesterday to make sure he recieved it OK. He said he did but hasn't had time to test it. He sent me a pm today saying he was going to test it today and send payment if all was good(which I know it is). I haven't seen payment yet. Again not to bust anyones chops but personally would not take this long if it was me.

You shouldn't be subjected to his availability to test the unit...depending on what it is, it shouldn't take more than a few minutes, so the buyer is just taking advantage of your courtesy.

You're too nice, I'd be pissed if he said that he "hadn't had time to test it".

Not over in FS/FT when using the heatware system. If someone comes on with no heat and tries to sell something, and somebody with 100's of positive trades over the years asks for the items to be shipped first, it's kind of hard to disagree with their logic.

But, as soon as someone gets some good heat, I trust them MUCH more.

I sent a pm to the guy stating I understand how things can get busy but 5 days is more than enough to test the memory I sent him and that I expext paynment by today. He has good heat, hopefully he won't be an @ss about this.
