How long till I have to use my new PSU thats sitting in the box?

Hi I bought a PSU last year September ts a Rosewill Capstone 750W Gold. But didn't end up using it cause my original PSU was fine I made a mistake thinking it was broken.

How long should I wait before I use this new PSU? I don't want to have it sitting down and then I realize the capacitors etc damages due to no electricity.

Dunno if it breaks down by just sitting here doing nothing.

Power supplies have a shelf-life of 20 years before the capacitors inside start leaking or drying up.
