How long should the KT7A BIOS Flash take?

Um, it looks like the BIOS Flash utility appears to be stuck... it's been going for like 10 minutes now... What should I do? I don't want to reset it cuz it might fry my BIOS... Any suggestions?

are you using the windows flashmenu?
It shouldn't take more than 20 seconds.
Once I tried to use the flashmenu and it just sat there doing nothing. Fortunately, it didn't write anything as I just rebooted and everything was ok..

Nope, using the runme.bat that comes from the BIOS file in the pure DOS mode.

My brand new MSI K7T-Turbo froze too in the middle of a flash (read 'did I fubar my system'). And unfortunately, I wasn't lucky enough for nothing to have been written. So, my BIOS was screwed up and all i get now are constant beeps with my system. I too tried it in dos. Maybe a general motherboard problem?

Ok, rebooted... Nothing was written... I then tried the WZ BIOS instead of the newer YH BIOS... All worked well, and now it's up and running again.
