How long should one wait before they tell their SO they love them?

Last night I told a girl goodnight. I hesitated for about 5 seconds after because part of my heart pulled me to say "I love you," but.... I guess it failed.

How about waiting until he actually loves her?

I waited about a month till I knew her and knew that if I said it to her, I would mean it.

well, you should tell them that the first time you meet them. then, everytime you meet then, always make sure to part with "i love you forever and ever"

after the 1st date. i also add: "if we ever break up, i dont think i could live". then i start watching everywhere she goes and who she hangs out with. can never be too safe. the way i see it, restraining orders are just another way of saying i love you.

never said it again... but i do love my SO... i think
