How long should I broil my steak?

Well, I tried broiling it, and it was great! really, really good... im going to try the searing and baking next time.. thanks for all the advice.

yes 4 minutes turned out Great!.... oh, and my broiler IS on the bottom, I have no heat element on the top of the overn.. its in the botom, and then there is a draw at the bottom of the stove, that you pull out and use for broiling.. its kinda neat
