How long is your daily commute?

San Jose to Oakland - minimum of 45 minutes one way - max of about 1.5hrs if traffic is bad one way. 44-miles each way.

Car-pool lane helps but it stops 15 miles from Oakland and starts 8-miles out of San Jose.

Used to have 15 minutes to work and 8-minutes home. Was a good 4yrs.


I hate my commute!
 
Depends where we're working. It could be 5 minutes, it could be an hour. I start getting paid as soon as I leave the door though.

Mine's almost exactly the same...have had this commute since 2005 excepting a 2-year break from '07-'09. During that break, we'd moved into the town I work in and I had a 15 min 1-way commute (*sigh*). Just trudging through til my wife gets done with residency/fellowship, then we can move back.

My 1st summer job during college was about a 30min commute 1-way (but ugly traffic), and I said I'd never do it again 😀. I was able to keep that resolve up until...I finished undergrad.
 
lol. You know why poll option #1 comes out top? ATOT is full of fatties sitting on their butts in their basements gorging on twinkies while the crumbs run across their keyboards, finally wedging upon the undergarments they donned on a week ago. Not surprised at all. Everyone knows this.

Be prepared to be jealous. My daily commute is best measured in feet. I do not work out of my home*.





*I work out of someone else's home 🙁
 
almost exactly 20mi. and about 20-30min depending on traffic lights. working night, no traffic except when there is road work or a wreck. always nice seeing the bumper to bumper traffic as I cruise by @ 60-70mph in the opposite direction depending on where I'm at in my commute home.
