Depends. I'm a consultant so some days I work from home, some days I drive 40 minutes to my office, some days I drive 75-90 minutes to a client's office.

However, since the client doesn't mind if I show up at 9am, the drive isn't so bad because I don't have to get up so early.

35-45 minutes in light to moderate L.A. traffic, as long as I go to and leave work 15 minutes early. After that 1hr+.

10-15 minutes if no traffic. If traffic then ~30 minutes. if i drive that is. i could also take a ferry ride and walk which takes a bit longer but is more relaxing too

Is this math right?

53 miles / 38 minutes = 1.3947 miles / minute

1.3947 miles/minute * 60 minutes (1 hour) = 83.6842 miles per hour?

yea thats about right

been doing it for 5 years

# of speeding tickets = 0

i did mention there was zero traffic. i counted today i passed 7 cars on my way in

i'm only a couple miles away. with no traffic it's only a few minutes. Daily traffic is around 10 minutes or 15 in the afternoon.

I get the luxury of days like today when I wake up 15 minutes before i should be at work, throw clothes on, splash some water on my face and brush the ol teeth and make it to work just 4 minutes late

4.7miles away... i get highly irritated when it takes me more then 15min

It used to be around 25miles and 1hr commute until I moved closer to work. Best thing I have ever done for my sanity

Typically 25 minutes. Today was an awesome juxtapositioning of everything going right, and it took 19 minutes (a personal best). There are 10 traffic lights on my route (3 long ones and 7 short), and today I only had to stop at 1 of the long ones and 2 of the short ones. All the rest were green.

Got to like when that happens. I have 2 reds to go through, there is one very long one and I hit it every single time, its so anoying. Well I've caught it yellow a few times and said F it and went through. :awe: Waiting for the red is long enough, waiting for the yellow then the entire red = holy crap. It's like a 5 minute light and is pointless because there's no traffic on the perpendicular road.
