Actually averages out to 1:30 with the traffic on the way home.

And you're okay with that? Does the benefit of the job you have, and the home you live in, outweigh the length of your commute - or do you plan on moving closer?

The time doesn't bother me, I listen to books on tape. The miles bother me, I don't like wasting that much gas. The pay is great (contract job), but I don't plan to work there much longer.

Mapquest estimates 2 minutes, it actually takes about 5 from the couch to the door at work. Damn side streets and their stop signs...

It takes me about 40 minutes, but I didn't so the Mapquest because I take the subway. It takes about 30 minutes to drive to my job anyway, and the $25 for parking in downtown Boston (there are some meters, but you have to get there at 4 AM to get a spot, so the garages are the only posiility) makes it so I wouldn't even try to drive. Add that to me not owning a car (I don't need one, and don't plan on having gas money in the school year anyway).

Currently around 38 (33 according to MQ) minutes. Building a new house 7 minutes further out. Just shy of an hour commute (that's w/out snow on the ground).
