How long is too long to wait for your food at a restaurant?

40 minutes seems (or sounds) like a really long time, I know I wouldn't be happy.

It depends on what you order. I go to a local pizza shop near work and people order the "baked" pizza all the time, it feeds something like eight people. It's sort of like a huge, thin stromboli. The waiter will tell you upfront it has a 5-10 minute prep time and a 45 minute bake time. People order anyway and 30 minutes later they are barking. I don't know why the shop even keeps it on the menu with all the hassle it gets them.

Because people are stupid and impatient. They want it NOW!!

Maybe the pizza place should take orders ahead of time for it or say under the menu item if you bitch about the waiting time we will use you as ingredients for the next one. .
