how long is the animatrix?

hmm... how long will the animatrix feature going to be? i tried doing a search but i can't find it. since there are about 9 shorts, i say.... about 40 minutes for the whole thing? hmm... then in that case i don't think the DVD will be worth it. (since we can probably dl most of the shorts anyways). what do you guys think?

I picked up the dvd but found the whole thing.. kinda dorky.. I mean.. I used to be a huge dork that dug this stuff in highschool.. But my gf and I just started giggling when watching some of this stuff.. I kept on thinking "wait, wasn't this done a few years back with the terminator movies" .. The terminator/matrix parrallels exist with the movies but these shorts and the back story about the rise of the machines mirror SkyNet/Terminator a bit too closely..

90 minutes? hmm... i thought the longest short is the flight of the osiris at about 9 minutes? and i thought the rennasance one is about 5 minutes.... i might be wrong, but most of the shorts seems.... really short.

One of the shorts in particular (maybe more- i kinda dozed off) gets into the back story about how we made robots that looked human and that we used them as slaves until they revolted against humans - VERY "terminator" like

oh yea... that reminds me. did you guys see the terminator 3 trailer in the theater? when they were talkin about how the machines rised and overthrown the humans, i thought they were talkin about the matrix.... hehe.

wow i just i had a weird thought. what if they somehow linked the matrix to the terminator movie...

They share the same topic, not the same story.

Both are entertaining movies on their own, but you are right, Terminator made the idea stick in people's minds first.

but i think matrix is a better way to present the idea. although it is not the first to bring up the idea.
