We bought a small log of it last weekend and up about half of it on sunday. We wrapped the rest back up and put it back in the fridge. I cut a few slices for myself for today at lunch and gave the dog a small piece. 5 minutes later she threw up the pepperoni and about 30 min after that my stomach started feeling a bit off and was gurgling like crazy.

I think its kinda odd that everything was fine Sunday but the timing and situation seems like more than a coincidence. (My dog throws up maybe twice a year)

I've had pre-sliced pepperoni in my fridge for longer than I'd care to admit and the only reason I eventually threw it out was because there was only a few slices left and we had a new pack. From my experience, when sealed/wrapped up right, it will last quite a while. Just remember, oxygen is your enemy when it comes to preserving food. Put it in a ziplock bag, a piece of tupperware, etc. Just don't loosely wrap it and call it good and you should be good.

Way longer than that. I figure my stuff from the deli is probably 5-6 weeks old now, my kid made a sandwich with it a couple days ago and is fine.

I have never seen a pepperoni bigger than like 2 feet. If I saw someone walking around with a 3 foot pepperoni, I would be jealous and give them dirty looks.

Months. Maybe even years. I don't think it even has to be refrigerated. Most stick pepperoni also used to have a casing that needed to be removed before consuming. Any mold or mildew that grows on it is usually confined to the casing.

Pepperoni is a cured meat, it is supoosed to last a long time. That is wha nitrate is for, keep the colour and kill the bacteria.

Cured meat like that will keep for quite a while...weeks. If it doesn't smell "off" it's OK.

My grandpa would buy peperoni or blood sausage, wrap in a bag or something and store it. Once day the dog got it and thought it was eaten. Several years latter when my grandpa went to dig the basement he found the sausage under the house where the dog put it, had a bite and was fine.

Speaking off. I have some sausage and crap cheese from Christmas in a box I need to eat. LOL

We were at costco and saw what was probably a 4' long stick

Heh, Ex is a 1%er.

But we already knew that.

What? You people don't just thrown away your houses when you suspect your food might have gone bad? Given my own experience and the replies here I'm not sure what happened but better safe than sorry

What? Your tummy burbled?

Pretty much every reply has told you that you're imagining things. A stick of pepperoni sure as hell didn't go bad in your fridge in just a couple of weeks.

And he tossed his dog.

peta will not be happy but since he's the $300K winner, they might make an exception.

Well its pretty unusual for my dog to throw up so given that and my gurgling\slight nausea afterwards it seemed oddly coincidental. So I got rid of the house. Let that demon pepperoni stick kill the next homeowners. I lowered the price a lot too so its probably some 99%'er so no real loss.
