How long is IE7 Supported and Patched?

We are considering pushing out IE8 to our end users, but are having some issues. The question has come up how long is IE7 supported and patched from Micosoft. We would like to delay this project for a couple months.

IE6 is still being patched (though probably not supported to end-users or organizations without a support contract). I think you have a few months yet.

Since IE7 came as the stock browser on Windows Vista, it will be supported and patched for as long as Vista is, which means the year 2017. This is also why IE5.01 is still being patched (it came stock with Win2000, which is still supported until sometime next year).
