This is precisely the reason why the average civilian believes the metric system is complicated. Forget converting already. Just use metric in everything. Except nautical. Vessel speeds will always be gauged in knots which btw is 1.15 miles per hour. 😛

Yeah, wasn't the imperial system based on the length of the emperor's foot or something like that?

Now, this is why the rest of the world uses the metric system and SI units.
