How long have you known your friends?

I'll start.

I've known my best friend for 17 years now. We met the 1st day of football practice in Jr. High.
The next longest is 10 years with one of my other friends that I met at a job and we were roommates for 4 years.
Then is a femal friend I've known for 7 years now. Haven't don anything with her, never will.

How about you guys? Do you have any life long friends?

Not really any lifelong friends. I seem to go through phases... usually 4-5 years or so. Right now my best friend and I have been hanging out since my sophomore year in college and I'm 26 now. Hopefully I'll keep in touch with my other college buddies too for a long time.

15+ years with a group of guys my age who just so happened to move into the same neighborhood i did when the housing complex opened up. i think this was about 4th grade or something.

Given that I live in the middle of nowhere, and was ostracized throughout K-10, I haven't many "life long" friends.

I'm still friends with the kid that was my "best friend" in kindergarten; we don't really hang out or talk very much, ever since he got married...
Another kid and I that have known each other since kindergarten hang out occasionally, though I hang out with his parents more than him.
(Kindergarten would have been 89-90, IIRC, so ~16 years.)
The friend I'm currently closest to I've known for 6 or 7 months.

Though, I do have friends on the internet who I have known for nearly that long as well.

31 years for one of my closest friends. that was from way back in 1st grade. he was my best man but he's living in UK now so we don't talk as much.

8 years for my next closest friend.

11 years for my closest and dearest friend. we talk everyday. we even got married.

12 years for one of my friends who is teaching in Austria, so I only see him twice a year.
12 years for another one of my friends who is working in Sweden. I only see her about once a year.
Still talk to one friend from HS (~18 years now), but he is in Cincy, so I don't see him often.
The people I see on a weekly basis........about the last 6-8 years.

i have a few that are more then 15 years and a handful more that are reaching their 10 year mark.

Most of them range between 15-20 years, while the newer ones I met during college 3-5 years back. Those are my close friends...the rest, probably 1-3 years?

i have 3 best girlfriends that i've know since kindergarten.
