How long have you gone without taking out your..

My friend told me he kept his daily disposables in for over a year...and he was really proud of that fact.

So just wondering...how long have you kept yours in? Or what's the longest you've gone without taking your contacts out?

Damn [edit] girl...

Months. Four months. Maybe longer.

I have very bad contact habits. I should go take these out right now (they are actually a fairly new pair).

I'd think so...Every time i see him, he looks like he's stoned...but he said they were fine. And yes...without ever taking them out.

He finally had to change out his lenses when one of them tore.

12hrs lol..

paid 200 for a pair, and it would last a yr... but could only wear for half a day to a day long

Yeah smart....not like your eyes are important or anything 😀

I don't think I've ever had them in longer than a day, my eyes are too sensitive. As a side note, aren't contacts a scam? How could a year long pair be any different than a day one? the price difference is huge. I know people that keep disposable for a long time, but they take them out.

I just got the day-and-night ones last week. Doctor said 15 days in constantly should be no probelem.
I've had them in for 3 days straight right now - eyes feel pretty good. Were dry in the morning when i woke up - but eye drops fixed that instantly.
Lets see how long they go - on the experimental stage with these new ones.

I cannot even take a NAP with them in. They dry out and feel like I have pennies in my eyes...dirty old pennies, too. :Q

If the lenses are brand new, I can go about 16-20 hours with them in. I take them out every night and soak them in all-in-one solution.

After about two weeks of wear, I can't have them in any more than about 8 hours before they become dry and painful.

I so desperately want to get laser surgery, but I'm a chickenshit. 😱 You only get issued one set of eyes. You break'em, you be screwed.

5-6 days. however, one time when i went to get an eye exam, doc told me i had an eye infection from wearing contacts for too long. so i had to wear glasses for a week 🙁 now i usually take it off at night, sometimes for 1-2 days. you only get one pair of eyes for life 🙁

Usually, I put them on in the morning when I wake up and take them off before I go to bed.

Sometimes, I go to any parties and decided to crash someone's place and d'oh, I forget to bring my lens holder then I had to sleep with them.

My lens are two-week disaposbles. Usually I last it for like four or five weeks or until the lens become faded. I'm just trying to save money on them. 🙂

Put them in when I wake up, and take them out before I go to bed. I think I might have slept in them once. I've heard it's not good for your eyes to leave them in too long, but it's just much nicer not to wake up with them in.

Has anybody else tried the night-and-day ones. Just wondering if its worth it to shell out the money for them. I just got my test pair last week and will be ordering that actual set in 3-4 days.

It actually feels better to me, to leave them in. I should take them out every night, but what I end up doing is leaving them in for 5-6 days, then take them out for half a day or so, to let my eyes breathe.

I think like 24 hours?

I found out its bad because if you over-wear constantly... the veins will start growing into sclera(white part of the eye?) which might be trouble-some if you get corrective eye laser surgery.

Your friend is lying, it's physically impossible to keep contact lenses in the eye for a year without removing them. The protein buildup alone would make them impossible to see out of within 6 months, he would also start to suffer from neo-vascularisation (blood vessels growing into the cornea) within the same period, this would make him blind not to mention all the other problems he would encounter.

Basically he's talking out of his Arse
