Using linux on and off on backup PCs since the late 90s, never as a primary OS though. Ubuntu is amazing compared to my earlier experiences with Mandrake and Red Hat, but I am still a linux noob, big time.

Some of these machines were DEC VAXes. I think the unix was a form of BSD. A little later, there were a few Sun machines.
