how long does UPS tranking take to report a package as delivered ?

fedex reports immediatly after delivery. i have recoved emails 5 mins after the package was delivered that it was delivered. but i don't know about fedex. the reason i ask is that i have to go pick up my printer from my mail box but am not sure if its delivered yet. the tracking page says in transit (out for delivery).

Usually within 30 minutes all my packages have shown up online as delivered (not sure if that handheld they use takes time to synch with UPS systems)

iv seen it take hrs, the package woudl be delivered but still out for delivery on the website. maybe they have to update the db after they deliver?

anyway thanks. my pakcge has been out for delivery since 3am and its 8 now so i think its prolly delivered.

with UPS, i have gotten a package a full day earlier than expected and it wouldnt update on the website until the end of the next day.

damn. that must suck. i rely on trackiong to tell me when to pick up and when to wait. if that happens to me i think i'd go crazy. whats the point to tracking if its that late.
