How long does seagate's discwizard take?

I'm installing an SATA drive for the first time. I already put it in the machine, and then I got the discwizard utilty off of seagate's website and ran it. Its 'creating and formatting' partitions, but it's been doing this for the last hour or so and the little bar at the bottom has not moved at all. I told it i wanted to make the SATA drive my boot drive and remove the old drive, so I think at some point I will have to copy all the files over, but I am pretty sure that comes later and can't explain how long it's taking now. I was just wondering how long it ought to take and when I should start worrying about it. Thanks a lot, oh knowledgable people of anandtech. Oh, its 120 gb drive.

A full 120GB drive may take 60-90 minutes to clone with an imaging proggy like Ghost or True Image. However, those Ontrack utilities offerred by OEM's are significantly slower so could take hours (perhaps due to file copy with verify rather than sector copying?).

What utilities/ drivers should one use when setting up a SATA drive? I have a brand new Seagate 7200.8 250 gb drive and this will be the very first time for a SATA and a Seagate. So what should I do to avoid what thelastmccabe ran into and instead have the results that theman writes of?
