How long does Origin/EA take to process an order?

I ordered Battlefield 3 about an hour ago and I got no email confirmation and my PayPal account has not been charged.

I'm anxious to get the game because it's on sale today only for $10.

Should I re-order? Does Origin usually take this long to process an order? Thanks!

Do you have a confirmation ID? If you do, call up CS and see if it is in the system. Usually paypal should be just as quick as a CC transaction. Maybe 5-10 min max.

The one exception I've seen is for people who are on the sexual offender list.

For them, there's some sort of added processing time.

Ordered BF3 and KoA during their last deal with paypal, processed in a matter of seconds.

Could just be an abnormally high amount of load if they're making a lot of sales. Steam is the same way for much of the Summer and Christmas sale (eg: poor load times, less responsive than normal).

Sounds like your order did not go through. Did you get a webpage showing a successful order?

No, not quite right

If you purchased an already released game, it will be proceed immediately, there must be something wrong with your PayPal,

I thought Origin does not accept PayPal? because I don't see PayPal method selection.

Normally only if you pre-purchased a game that is not released yet, you will still receive confirmation email, the deal will not be proceed and not charged, until the game is being released.

Placed order payment will go through at the time when the game is released. On Origin, you "pre-ordered" a game without placing deposit or full payment, only pay when the game is available, unlike Steam, you pay full first when you are pre-purchasing a game.

The only thing I don't like Origin does this is they forced you to let them have your Credit Card/ Debit Card info for automatically charged you at the game released time.

For the special offers such as Christmas Sale, they offered unreleased games at discounted price, I believe if you pre-purchase them, you will be charged the discounted price at the game release time.

Yeah, it was immediate for me....
Did your payment method get charged?

And yea, why DO you know about the sex offender thing?

For origin to be better or like steam they'd have to spend more resources on it, and the reason ea is using origins is to save $$$, so not likely to happen.
