How long does netflix take?

I just signed up last week, and I got an email Friday saying my dvds shipped, and I would get them Saturday. I thought that was cool, but figured Saturday was a bit of a stretch knowing our wonderful postal service, and figured Monday would be a bit more realistic.
So I get home today, and there are no DVDs. WTF? Is my postal carrier watching them first?
 
Eh, for me netflix was AWESOME for the first month. After that, it started taking me ~4-5 days to get movies.

They don't ship saturdays and sundays. So if you ordered your movie on friday, it might have started getting shipped on saturday...nope closed...sunday...nope closed. Monday! And you'd get them on tuesday.

it varies. postal service is like that. sometimes its very fast, sometimes it takes a day or two extra. its just ike that

Correct me if I'm wrong...but I don't think Netflix does. Never once have I gotten an email saying "Your movie has been shipped" on Saturday. Could just be bad timing though.

Learn some reading comprehension. Netflix said "your movie has been shipped" on FRIDAY. It said you can expect to get them in the mail on saturday.

And this is Thursday, the mail just came...no dvds yet. I can understand some delay, but my god. USPS really does suck.

There's one here in B'ham too, but I routinely see 4-5 day turnaround these days and it has nothing to do with the post office as the delay is always on Netflix's end. 🙁 'Throttling' in full effect unfortunately.
 

I will mail it on Friday, they receive it on Monday, They ship out the new ones on Tuesday, I receive them on Wednesday or Thursday.

Distro center is 45 minutes away.

Sad thing about it is BB is even slower

I am so freaking envious right now. How do you all know where the distro centers are?
I wont be home tomorrow, they better the heck be here saturday.
 
It still normally takes two days for me to get mine. That is, if they ship on Monday, I get my stuff on Wednesday. I have noticed that sometimes they ship the Tuesday new releases to me on Monday, which is cool.

I like Netflix.
