How long does it take your Car A/C to get cold?

I supposedly had my fixed by VW two weeks ago.......

Its taking 12-14 minutes before my car's A/C gets cold every freakin time i turn the car on.....

IS VW fvking with me?

Rather quickly, my car still uses R12 gas though. I recently refilled it about a year and a half ago.

Mine gets cold instantly... but my A/C is only 1 yr old...

probably within 1-2 mintues, if even that long

Well it started doing this about a month ago. Brought it into VW and they replaced my compressor, supposedly.

Its doing it again now, except worse then before i brought it in. With temperatures up around 85-90 recently, i cant stand it.

Take it back to the dealership then, make them do the job right this time...

Pay for a rental? Can't they just give you a loaner Golf 2.slow or something?

Not only does this dealer not do loaners, they also do not have a drive home service.... At least for us VW'ers.... Im sure the Audi & Porsche portions of the dealership are taken much better care of.

I have never heard of dealerships paying for rentals on these kind of services... If you are talking about major repairs, sure... but not something that will take less than 1 day to fix... But good luck to you though, keep us updated!

So because they failed to do what they were supposed to the first time, i have to waste another day at the dealership?
