how long does it take to propagate a domain after renewal?

I had a domain expire and I just renewed it. how long until it is up and running.

anyone got some good news for me like 10 minutes?

It'll vary, but I think the primary TLDs like .com/.org/.net/etc are usually updated by most major name servers several times a day. Other TLDs are typically on a daily update.

depends on the registrar?

usually takes 24-72 hours

These days it usually doesn't take too long. I had the same thing happen recently and the site was back online in under 30 minutes.

Heh, at my last job, with one specific account manager, we began padding estimates to account for the OSF ("Oh, sh!t" factor) :p
