I am making a slideshow for a christmas gift this year. I have MemoriesOnTV software with MPEG2 plugin. I setup a DVD Slideshow with about 1200 slides (about 35 albums) and twenty .MP3s. I started to encode the MPEG to burn on a DVD+R and it took two hours to encode 20%. That means it is going to take 10 hours hours to encode a DVD slideshow? My rig:
