6 hours from SF to LA?? How fast do you drive? I've driven from SLO to LA many times (about 200 mi) and it takes 4 hours.

err whats slo?

It depends on which route you take, you can take the pch, or you can take the shortcut on the interstate...

The pch is more scenic (obviously)and cooler (temperature wise), on the interstate, you see a buncha farms and thats it..

edit:

phatcow, it varies depending on location, but on country highways (middle of nowhere), its 70

It's San Luis Obispo (Central Coast) I take the 101 freeway...speed limit is 65 max on that drive....up to 70 north of SLO on the 101.

I'd say 8 hours, tops on my driving system, 9 hours everyone else..

I can make it from Riverside to San Jose in 5 hours, seriously. Highly --->NOT<--- recommended. You need to make sure you eat a meal before, start with full tank o gas, and make one NASCAR quick refuel. Keep speed at about 80-95 all the way, even up grapevine. Foxholes where cops hide are obvious if you passed there a few hundred times. Then a quick sprint up I-5. Then exit 152 West, quick sprint up that at 90mph, no problem. Up 101 North...tah dah.

Which one? Woodstock's?

how the heck does it take you 4 hrs.. it takes me 3 hrs each way.. I drive 70.. Its exactly 200.00 miles door to door for me.

As for best pizza, i prefer woodstock but I am not too much of a pizza guy.. i prefer firestones and slothsky's (off los osos road and that shell station on the right).. I also like the "taco roco" stuff.. mmmmmm..

I got to SLO for the women and the weather.

Ok, i'm driving a bit more than 200 mi....I go to the Pomona Swap Meet...101S to 10E to Pomona....right at 4 hours from SLO.

I think the best things at the Firestone Grill are the tri-tip sandwich, the fries, and the womens....;)
