How long does it take to burn up a 950 tbird without cooling?

From the stories I've read on here most people seem to say it's a matter of seconds, around 5. I don't have personal experience, thankfully.

OK, mine ran for about 5 seconds without cooling. How do I know if its fried? The system I was trying it on wasnt working to start with so I don't know if this CPU was ever any good. Will it warm up at all now if its fried? Or is the only way to know by putting it in another system. Any way to tell by looking at it.

my friends did in about 5-8 seconds

my friend tried running his Thunder Bird without cooling before... and according to him...it took about about 6-7 seconds before his birdie got fried.
